In Gothenburg during the past two weeks, passengers travelling by trams in the city and by boats going to the archipelago have been able to see a poster concerning the persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioners in Gothenburg arranged to put up this poster in order to inform the citizens on a larger scale about the cruel persecution that is taking place in China.

The poster has been posted on forty trams and boats in the city and those going to the archipelago for the next two weeks.

The Falun Gong poster explains briefly about the practice and includes examples of torture methods.

The text on the top and left side of the poster reads:

Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) is a qigong and cultivation practice for body and mind.

In addition to doing five tranquil exercises, emphasis is put on living according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Falun Gong is practiced in over sixty countries.

The text on the bottom of the poster reads:

Five years' persecution of Falun Gong - Cruel torture in modern times. Wang Lixuan and her eight month old baby were tortured to death in October 2000. On the child's body, marks from handcuffs were clearly visible and the body was covered in bruises and wounds. The autopsy indicated that the baby had been
hung upside down.

Examples of torture methods:

Practitioners are stripped naked and locked in small iron cages with sharp spikes around the cage. The cages are submerged in dirty water. Practitioners hung up in the air so that their feet don’t touch the ground and their arms are severely injured.
