The NGO (Non-governmental Organisations) Forum on National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), with the focus of "Building Strategic Partnerships between NGOs and NHRIs," was held in the conference room of the National Human Rights Committee in Seoul on the 12th of September, 2004, the eve of the 7th International Conference for NHRIs, when human right institutions will hold discussions on human right issues, strategies and partnerships.
Falun Gong practitioners distributed books and materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese President Jiang Zemin and his regime to NGO representatives from more than forty countries at a booth at the forum site. With the forum sponsor's permission, a photo exhibition highlighting the persecution was held during the forum.

The forum held discussions on specific topics in the morning and then group discussions in the afternoon. Falun Gong practitioners joined the four discussion teams in the afternoon and told NGO representatives from different countries of the persecution of the innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China.
A Korean Falun Gong practitioner said in a group discussion, "I heard about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners on the first day I started practicing Falun Gong. I have been concerned with human rights since then. This is why I am here today... Among all terrorist acts targeting specific groups of people on the earth, the persecution of Falun Gong in China is the most serious and disturbing. More than one thousand Falun Gong practitioners have lost their lives in the past five years. Hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been thrown into forced labour camps, mental hospitals and jails. Human rights are trampled on. I sincerely call for your attention to the terrorist acts in China."
Because of successful communication between Falun Gong practitioners and the sponsor of the forum, it was a very successful activity to expose the persecution in China. Falun Gong practitioners in Korea plan to further expose the persecution of Falun Gong to representatives of human right institutions around the world at the 7th International Conference for NHRIs.
