We have been holding a series of activities to help people learn more about Falun Gong in Manhattan for two months. People would pass by our anti-torture exhibition and other activity sites on their way to work or home. Amidst their hurry, they at first thought "what is it"? After being imperceptibly influenced by what they constantly see and hear, some people would take it upon themselves to come to each anti-torture exhibition site at the weekend and asked us: How can I help you? Still some people specially brought their families to see us at the weekend. Some even said that I can feel specifically tranquil when I come here. It’s very difficult to feel that kind of peace and quiet in downtown Manhattan.
Through these two months Falun Dafa practitioners constantly clarified the truth about Falun Gong, many people who came to understand also started to help us in our efforts. This weekend we took part in activities from 11am to 7pm. People who surrounded us changed one group by another group and the scene was touching. At the torture performing site on 79th Street, you could hardly differentiate who is and who is not Falun Gong practitioners. You just felt that everyone is against the persecution and telling the truth everywhere, as if they were afraid of not offering to help themselves.
The Manhattan citizens looked at those people who are carrying out cruel tortures to Falun Gong practitioners with the viewpoint of the 911 Terrorist Attack and even couldn’t endure any autocrat perpetrating this persecution. The citizens of Manhattan and all western people who go to Manhattan resent terrorism from their hearts and agree that they must stop the terrorism. The amount of people who practice Falun Gong is large; doesn’t it mean that few people would engage in terrorism? Why isn’t the Chinese autocratic system happy? It’s incredible!
Three years ago, we lost thousands of relatives and good friends because other people carried out an act of terrorism, but the Chinese autocrat ill-treated and killed his fellow citizens with his own horrible cruel torture, isn’t it crazy?
Why people who follow the three words “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” are tormented to death? Is this autocrat still a human being?
This Chinese do not want good people, nor Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. It’s very terrible and has to put China into a more horrible and nervous situation than the 911 Terrorist Attack; moreover, it follows the dreadful cruel torture and killing policy of the government. It seems that China has really destroyed itself.
Staying in the USA is real happiness. Thanks to democracy we are Americans, we can freely practice the exercises and train our physical bodies. This kind of terrible cruel torture unexpectedly has been carrying on for five years in China, which shows how terrible China is and how painful it must be for the Chinese people.
The key point is the leader is the main terrorist. They also know treating good people with this cruel torture can not be known to the public; therefore they don’t allow the media to disclose it. Exposing cruel torture will be treated with this cruel torture by the nation’s policemen. It even shows the terror in China as well as the horror of the Chinese autocrats.
Learning and practising Falun Gong
During several weeks, Falun Dafa practitioners from New York have received lots of phone calls, and many of them were people asking where to learn the Falun Gong exercises. A junior high school’s board meeting invited the practitioners to teach their on hundred and fifty teachers the exercises as soon as possible.
Wanting to bring a material to their Chinese colleagues in the office
Some Manhattan white-collar people told the practitioners: “I read all of you materials. Can I bring some to my Chinese colleagues? I tell our Chinese colleagues that Falun Gong is good, but they still use Chinese media’s propaganda to slander you. Therefore I have come here to collect some materials for them. I don’t want them to speak wrongly. What they say and think is wrong.”
I have written a letter to the President
Still some people specifically looked for the practitioners and said: Asking for the immediate stopping of these cruel torture as well as the persecution being targeted upon those who practice Falun Gong, practitioners’ freedom of faith. I’ve written letters to the President, Human Rights Organisations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
