Books Slandering Falun Dafa Are Deceiving the Minds of Our Children

One night on the 3rd of November, 2004, my 12-year-old daughter was reading her textbooks. She asked, "Mum, there is something about Falun Gong on this page, and the teacher said this subject will be in the exam. How I should answer the question?" I answered, "Just answer with 'Falun Dafa is a righteous Way.'" I did not pay further attention to the subject that night.

The next morning I took out my daughter's textbook and read it more carefully. It contained an article slandering Falun Dafa and the founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi. I was shocked! I never knew that my daughter was reading books containing derogatory comments about Falun Dafa everyday.

The name of this book was Youth Morality Building Series (higher elementary version, edited by Students' Morality Education Centre of Beijing's Future New Century Education and Scientific Institute). The article misinterpreted Zhuan Falun (the core text of Falun Gong teachings) and quoted some false content that was presented as being from Zhuan Falun.

This is a textbook provided to students nationwide, from third graders to middle school students. Statistics show that there are currently about 367 million youths in China. So many children are being compelled to go against "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." What kind of people are they going to grow into?

I decided to write a letter to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to the editors of this book. In the meantime I exchanged my opinions with fellow practitioners. We agreed that writing a letter to the editors was not enough. We should expose this on the Internet and ask all fellow practitioners to inform all teachers, students and their parents with the correct facts about Falun Dafa We should stop the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his faction from poisoning and deceiving the minds of our children any further!
