Lawless Policemen Kidnap and Extort Money from Practitioners
[Laiwu City, Shandong Province]
From November 24 to 25, 2001, policemen led by Qi Bingru, Deputy Police Chief of the Development Zone in Laiwu City, arrested five practitioners and confiscated many Falun Dafa books, other Dafa materials, and certificates of deposit valued at over 10,000 Yuan (Note: 500 Yuan is the average monthly salary of an urban Chinese worker). The practitioners were detained at the Laiwu City Detention Centre.
One practitioner was later released, but the other four practitioners are still being illegally detained.
