On December 18th and 19th, 2004, the annual Tomato Cultural Festival was held in Luzhu, Kaohsiung County. In order to let more people learn about Falun Dafa, Kaohsiung practitioners participated in the event.

After the county-head of Luzhu, Mr. Su, learned about Falun Dafa, he wanted to help residents benefit as well, so he arranged for the practitioners to demonstrate the exercises and pass out information and paper lotus flowers.
On the second day, the township government provided a spacious area to practitioners. Many people came to ask for materials about Falun Gong, look at the pictures about the practise spreading around the world and the persecution in China. Practitioners gave out paper lotus flowers they made themselves. Crowds surrounded the site and the county-head also came to encourage the practitioners.
After the event, there were still many residents who came to ask where they could learn Falun Gong.
