Spain: Falun Gong gets a Big Welcome at the National Health Expo

From the 4th to the 7th of November, at the 20th National Health Exposition held in Madrid, the Falun Gong stall attracted many people from all over the country in all professions. To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the exposition, a film was made and broadcast in underground stations for the month prior to the event. The section on Falun Gong was particularly pleasing to the eye.

At the exposition, many people came to Falun Dafa’s exhibition table to ask for information or to watch and learn the exercises. The “Introduction to Falun Dafa” meeting got a big welcome from all the visitors. Many people came to the auditorium door very early. They were waiting in a queue to enter. At the introduction tp the meeting, practitioners first introduced the wide spread of Falun Dafa both in China and all over the world. They then shared their own experiences of how their body and mind have benefited from practising Dafa, as well as exposing the brutal persecution that is happening in China. They also demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and played a film called “The Real Story of Falun Dafa”.

There was great interest in the huge and varied health benefits people have received through practising Falun Dafa. The public bought Falun Dafa books and exercise videotapes one after another. Meanwhile, they expressed that they were puzzled and shocked by the unfairness of the persecution against Falun Dafa in China. One middle-aged woman said, “How could Jiang Zemin treat these nice people who believe in Truth, Compassion and Tolerance in such a way? This behaviour that violates human rights is intolerable. We must stop it.”

One teacher said to Falun Gong practitioners, “Please let us know about your future activities. We will support you!” There was also a young mother with her child. She couldn’t help crying when she heard the truth about the persecution. She and her child both signed a petition to support Falun Gong practitioners and call for the end of the persecution.

At this exposition, practitioners also met the Environmental Protection Bureau Minister. After she listened to the practitioners’ introduction about Falun Dafa, she was really interested. She hoped to get more information so they arranged that practitioners will send her more materials in writing.

During the exposition, there were several media groups that interviewed Falun Gong practitioners and five of them were TV stations. Later on at prime time, three of these oransiations broadcast the news that Falun Gong was widely welcomed during the exposition.

There was also one journalist who specialises in persecution events. As he realised that such a brutal persecution, which savagely tramples on human rights and is utterly inhuman, is still happening in China, it weighed heavily on his mind. He expressed that he had the responsibility to help Falun Gong practitioners. He will try his best to let more people know that this persecution is happening in China. He appealed to all kind and righteous people to help to stop this persecution.
