Germany: Two-Day Anti-Torture Exhibition near the Famous Cologne Cathedral

The 10th of December was World Human Right Day. To efficiently and deeply expose the brutal torture, harassment and persecution against Falun Gong, which has been carried out by Jiang and his communist group for the last five years, Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the famous tourist spot of Cologne Cathedral on the 10th and 11th of December. They held a two-day anti-torture exhibition to let more people know about and condemn the methods of torture used to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs, as so to bring an end to the persecution as soon as possible.

When practitioners were setting up the exhibition, several tourists from Mainland China came to have a look. Practitioners got the chance to give them some leaflets, and these Chinese happily accepted. They also asked practitioners: “Is it really good to practise Falun Gong? Are there any foreigners practising it?” When they had listened to the practitioners’ answers and saw western practitioners with their own eyes, their doubt lessened. They agreed to tell their relatives in China about the persecution beginning to read the display board carefully.

These two days were at the weekend and a German traditional Christmas market was opened on the other side of the church so there was a great increase in the number of people who came to visit the church or went shopping. At the spot where practitioners acted out the anti-torture exhibits, visitors were shocked to watch these scenes and expressed their sympathy and anger. They came in groups one after another, among which there were also Chinese visitors. Many people took photos of the exhibition.

It was now late winter and it was freezing in the big square in front of the cathedral. Although people were wearing coats, they were still shaking with the cold. However, the cold could not prevent kind-hearted people supporting conscience and justice. People came to sign the petition one after another.

When a middle aged couple saw the torture show, they were shocked and quickly asked a practitioner what was going on. They also told the practitioner that their children are doing business in China. When they had learned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, they asked sincerely, “What can we do?” The couple signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution and said that they will tell their children in China about Falun Gong.

A middle aged gentleman passed by and was shocked to see the anti-torture exhibition. He talked to practitioners for a long time before going home to write to the Chinese authorities to condemn the genocide against Falun Gong.

As practitioners are making more efforts in different forms of raising awareness about the persecution, more and more people awakening to the truth, speaking out for justice and condemning the evil persecution against Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance conducted by the Jiang regime.
