A Young Falun Dafa Practitioner Returns to School with the Support of Fellow Practitioners

I was fortunate enough to begin practising Falun Dafa in 1997 when I was nine years old. When I was about six, I often saw rows of transparent Falun (Law Wheel, the symbol of Falun Dafa) landing on the top of my neighbor's house. Though I was curious at that time, I did not tell my parents.

In the years after discovering Falun Dafa, my parents, my younger brother, and I went to the Falun Dafa exercise site to study the and to do practise the exercises every evening. Being still immature, I was not strict with myself in upgrading my heart according to the principles taught in Falun Dafa. Sometimes, I treated studying the Falun Dafa teachings as finishing a task. When I was in junior high, I did not know whom I could talk to about Falun Gong. I was severely discriminated against by my classmates as they were all deceived by the anti-Falun Gong propaganda. Being unsuccessful in telling them the true facts about Falun Dafa, I complained that they were being unfair to me and were liars.

During the winter vacation of 2004, I realised that I had many attachments through reading the Falun Dafa teachings intensively at home and felt that I had not done well at all. Therefore, I tried to do better every day when I was attending extra classes outside school during the winter vacation. I gradually achieved a harmonious relationship with my classmates. After school started again, a male student who did not attend the extra classes during the winter vacation mocked me and talked about me in front of other students. In order to stand on the side of truth and to keep from being excluded further by my classmates, I made up my mind to let my classmates who lived in the dormitory know the true facts about Falun Dafa.

On the 3rd of March some of my class mates joined us one after another while I was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to a girl after school. There were about ten of them in all. As I did not send forth righteous thoughts before I began talking, I talked with a lot of human notions and talked too loudly, even though I had the wish to save them in my heart and smiled in the process of clarifying the truth. As a result, the teacher who was in charge of discipline heard me from outside. This teacher reported me to the headmaster after I left. The headmaster exerted pressure on the supervising teacher. He said, "My title of representative of County People's Congress cannot be ruined by this one student. Tell the student to quit school if nothing else can be done with him." When Teacher Wang came to our class to investigate this matter, two students reported me.

I did not feel the atmosphere was right after I got to school. I realised what had happened when Teacher Wang asked me to have a talk with him. Teacher Wang took a firm stance and as my righteous thoughts were not strong I failed to clearly tell him about why I practise Falun Dafa and why the persecution is wrong. Teacher Wang repeatedly said, "The power is in the hands of the Communist Party. It does not allow you to practise Falun Gong, although Falun Gong is good."

I was asked to go to the Student Administration Department. The director and another teacher received me. I talked to them about Falun Dafa. Seeing that I was resolute, they asked me to go back to my class for a while. The director called the local branch of the Police Department after I had refused to be "reformed." I refused to tell the policemen my parents' names. Then they began to search in my school bag and my coat. They forced me to take them to my home after they failed to find materials among my things.

My mother had gone to Changchun and my father was studying the Falun Dafa teachings. All the Falun Dafa related materials and Master Li's new articles were taken away. My father and I were taken to the police station for interrogation. Since I did not do well, all the policemen in the room attempted to reform me. The deputy director of the branch Police Department was righteous, as he had heard the truth. When policemen asked me whether I'd practise or not, I said, "Yes. I will certainly practise since Falun Gong is such a good cultivation method." I smiled and said to them, "Why have the practitioners gone to appeal against the persecution? Isn't it because they trusted the government?" Hearing this, some policemen nodded their heads.

In the car going back to school, the teacher said, "You should study all the courses well, as this will help you to understand the principles taught in Falun Dafa." I realised that this was Master Li's hint to me that I should continue to study in school. Teacher Wang said to me after I came back to school, "You should do an excellent job in your class." On the 4th of March, Teacher Wang received a call from the County Education Bureau, saying that I was not allowed to continue to go to school. My fellow practitioners reported my situation to the Minghui website(Chinese version of the Falun Dafa website, Clearwisdom). With the support of fellow practitioners all over the world, I went back to school again. I was expelled from school for six days, from the 4th of March to the 11th of March.

I studied the Falun Dafa teachings and sent forth righteous thoughts for these six days. I realised that being able to go to school did not come easily and I should treasure the opportunity of going to school. Here, I'd like to express my gratitude to all fellow practitioners who supported me and cared about me. We Falun Dafa practitioners are one body that is harmonious and unshakable. During that period I had just one thought, which was to negate all the arrangements by the old forces and to follow only Master Li's arrangement.

With Master Li's hint, I made steady progress in abandoning my attachments and overcoming my shortcomings. After returning to school, I seemed to have changed into another person, being able to get along with classmates harmoniously. On the morning of my first day back, I met one of my teachers on the first floor of the building. He said to me, "Ignore what others say. You are here to learn." I nodded with a smile. Teacher Dong patted my shoulder and said, "Tell me if anyone complains about you in this North Building. I will help you to solve the problem."
