The Western Practitioners Who Went to Tiananmen Square

I read an article on a web page, entitled “a letter to all Chinese people” by a Canadian Falun Gong practitioner. The letter reads, “I hope to awaken your inward kindness with my foreign appearance and pure heart. Please don’t follow Jiang Zemin and his cronies to persecute Falun Gong. It will do you no good.” Such a letter with its purity is able to activate the power of compassion. He shouted in Tiananmen Square, “Europe knows, America knows, Canada knows and the world knows that Falun Dafa is good.” I couldn’t help bursting into tears when reading the letter. I told my self, ”What a remarkable Western practitioner!“

On Thursday November 22nd the 36 Western practitioners returned to their own native countries. I knew most of them from several Falun Dafa conferences or on occasions of Falun Gong activities in many places. We had even studied and discussed the Fa [Principles of Falun Gong, contained in the book Zhuan Falun] together in the past. But surpprisingly there they were in Tiananmen Square and shouted “Falun Dafa is good” with their whole bodies and hearts. The picture that they took in the front of Tiananmen Square, showing serenity, dignity and indomitable air, has awed the world. Upon looking at those pictures of welcoming them at the airport, I burst into tears.

My husband went to China for several days. I phoned him to tell him the story of Western practitioners’ magnificent act in Tiananmen Square and those reports by overseas media on this matter. He said that the event created a sensation in China as well, since the television and press reported it (of course in the unfavourable wording). Many people discussed Falun Gong and the strength that dared them to protest in Tiananmen Square against Jiang Zemin’s evil regime. He was on the other side of the line, talking excitedly about how the land of China was shaken by their act.

Activities in Belgium

I made a phone call to a journalist recently since he reported an unfavourable article not so long ago. I asked him for the source of that report. I knew from his words that he lied to me and he had in fact been manipulated by the evil propaganda from China. I said, “Falun Gong is prevalent in more than 40 countries in the world where more than 100 million people practise it. What you reported is not right.” After listening to my words, he said: “ Maybe you are right. We can talk about it if there is a chance.” He wanted me to call him a few weeks later to make an appointment with him, since he would go abroad the next day.

Recently a fellow practitioner and myself decided to distrubute some truth clarfying newspapers. We arrived at the place to distribute the newspapers. Each person said “thanks” to us when he or she took the newspaper from our hands. Many people said that they read every issue of the newspaper and that it was quite different from every other ordinary newspaper. Afterwards we went outdoors to clarify the truth for the purpose of awakening the goodness in people’s hearts.

We work diligently in a restaurant to earn money for printing the newspapers or fliers. We are delighted that the newspapers or fliers were able to correct people’s misconception of Falun Gong gradually. The restaurant were we work is located in the city centre. Customers come from all over the world. I seize every chance to spread Falun Gong to them. Let me tell you some of those stories:

1) One day an American young man came here. I gave him and his friends the truth clarifying material. After reading it, he said, ”This is exactly what I need. Especially Forbearance since this is very important to me.” He asked if I could teach him the exercises immediately. I taught him the first set of exercise. He could do it very precisely after he practised it only once. Afterwards I told him that he could find all the information he needed on the Falun Gong web pages.

2) I handed truth clarifying material to an elderly Belgian lady, who is a frequent guest of the restaurant. Right after receiving it, she said, ”Do you need me to sign [a petition]? They act (Chinese government) so absurdly to persecute Falun Gong. Every person has the right to choose his own religion. It is human rights!” After signing her name and writing down her phone number and address, she said, ” I will ask my friends to come to sign, too.”

3) After a French couple finished their meal, the wife stared at me for a long time. She asked if I was Chinese (since I am taller than ordinary Chinese people). She said that there was something very attractive from your country, China. Chinese ancient culture nurtured so many prophets and saints. Upon hearing this, I handed the Falun Gong material to her immediately. She had been practising a kind of Qigong in recent years. She mentioned the issue of the Celestial Eye, but she still had questions on it. I told her that if she could read “Zhuan Falun” several times, she would gradually get the answer to those questions. Then she left in a good mood and said “thanks” repeatedly.

4) There were often many customers from China. After I clarified the truth to them, most of them altered their attitudes. The comment I often got from them was, “ During the trip to Europe, this restaurant offers not only the best food, but also the best service.” Each person would receive the best present, the Falun Gong newspaper, when they left. I thought that every one could perceive that the Falun Gong practitioners cultivated a kind of health, peacefulness, nobleness and dignity.
