Mr. Lu Weiqi was a sixty four year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa at the beginning of 2000, was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party, and humiliated publicly in the city. Ever since then, the neighbourhood administration, police substation, and his employer harassed him at home, causing him great mental pressure, which led to physical distress. He went to Beijing again in October 2000, and died while travelling.
Ms. Han Xiangying was fifty-five years old, and lived in Fuping County, Hebei Province. She began practising Falun Dafa in 1995. In March 2001, she was arrested while posting banners that exposed the persecution of Falun Dafa. Police sent her to the county detention centre, where she was detained one month. Five thousand five hundred yuan (1) were extorted from her. Later, she was taken to a brainwashing class and tortured both mentally and physically. Her family became fearful because of the effects of the torture and watched her very closely. She died on March 5, 2005 from an apparent stroke.
Deaths of Practitioners from Suizhou City, Hubei Province.
Ms. Qian Jingjing, 20, started Falun Gong practice in 1996. She was arrested when some sites producing leaflets to expose the persecution in Hubei Province were destroyed by police in July 2004. She was detained for more than two weeks. In December 2004, due to the cruel persecution and psychological pressure, her legs became very swollen. On January 22, 2005, she passed away.
Ms. Chu Zhongping, 40, started practising Falun Gong in 1995. On July 22, 1999, Ms. Chu peacefully appealed for Falun Dafa at the Government of Hubei Province and was arrested in the park. That night, about six Wuhan City policemen brutally beat her for the entire night. Later she was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment in Shayang Forced Labour Camp. During this time she became extremely weak and was sent back to Suizhou Second Detention Centre where she was held for 8 months. After she was released and returned home the unlawful officials at Yunyang Police Station repeatedly arrested her and kept her under tight surveillance during all holiday periods. As the direct result of suffering from this cruel persecution over a long period of time, she passed away on August 30, 2003.
Mrs. Hu Fuying, 72, started practising Falun Gong in 1995. In December 2000, Mrs. Hu peacefully appealed for Falun Dafa in Beijing. At that time, she was arrested by policemen from Chaoyang District Police Station in Beijing City. Soon after the arrest she was released. In 2001, her youngest son and eldest daughter were arrested by the local police. This caused Mrs. Hu to suffer psychological injury. In this case, the corrupt officials went to her home to harass her, so that she could no longer live in peace. In December 2001, her youngest son was arrested again by the local police. When Mrs. Hu heard this news she went to Yingcheng Police Station to urge the police to release her son. At that time, since Mrs. Hu suffered from extreme psychological pain and absentmindedness, she was hit by a tricycle in Yingcheng City. After she returned home she passed away in July 2003.
Ms. Yuan Anhua, 54, started practising Falun Gong in 1997. By following the principles of Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance, both her body and mind benefited significantly from practising Falun Gong. When the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, along with other practitioners, Ms. Yuan planned to go to Beijing to peacefully appeal. On her way to Beijing, she was intercepted by the police. Later, she was taken back to Suizhou City and detained in the Baiyunshan Detention Centre. She was then taken back by the Security Department of her employer. In June 2001, she again peacefully appealed for Falun Dafa in Beijing. Suffering from on-going psychological pressure, she passed away on August 29, 2003.
Mrs. Shang Chuancui, 49, was a former spouse of an employee of Tieshu Group, Suizhou City, Hubei Province. After she started practising Falun Gong at the end of 1995, she recovered from all her diseases effortlessly. After the Jiang Zemin regime started persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners all around China, along with others, Mrs. Shang planned to go to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa. On her way to Wuhan Railway Station, she was detained by the local police. Afterwards, she was detained in Suizhou Second Detention Centre for ten weeks. Following her release she was continuously harassed by local corrupt officials in her own home. Having suffered from on-going psychological pressure, she passed away in January 2005.
Mrs. Xu Baodi, 65, started Falun Gong practice in January 1996. Since she practised Falun Gong, she recovered from all her diseases and she felt very good. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, because the normal cultivation environment for Falun Dafa practitioners to practise and study the Falun Gong teachings together was disrupted, her diseases returned repeatedly. In 2001, with the help of other practitioners, she resumed practising Falun Dafa, and soon after that recovered rapidly from her diseases again. On March 8, 2002, while Mrs. Xu was studying the teachings in a practitioner's home, people reported them to the police. They took her to the Suizhou Second Detention Centre. She was detained there for one week. Because her family members were scared, they tried to keep her from practising Falun Gong. She passed away on December, 28, 2002.
Mrs. Wu Guangying, 59, started practising Falun Gong in May 1999. Before she practised Falun Gong, she suffered from high blood pressure, and her hands were sensitive to cold water. After she began Falun Gong practice, she recovered rapidly from her diseases. When the persecution began in July 1999, she had practised Falun Gong for only two months. Since the normal cultivation environment for Falun Dafa practitioners to practise and study together was disrupted, she stopped practising. Later, with the help of other practitioners, she resumed practising Falun Gong. Under continued pressure from the "Red Terror" of the CCP, she passed away.
