Changchun Practitioner Ms. Zhang Yufen Sentenced to Prison and Denied a Final Farewell to Her Dying Husband

Ms. Zhang Yufen, 52, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. She used to be an accountant at the Dazheng Pharmaceutical Factory. On September 16, 2002, police officers arrested her at her home. She was subsequently sentenced to five years in prison and held at the Heizuizi Women's Prison. After her arrest, her husband became increasingly anxious and scared. As a result, he developed liver cancer and died on October 5, 2004. Throughout his terminal illness, the prison authorities prohibited Ms. Zhang from seeing her husband. She was never able to bid a final goodbye to her husband.
