Malaysia: Anti-Torture Exhibition Exposes the Persecution In China

At The Peoples' Park in Klang city, there is a weekly practise site for doing group practise and allow people to learn about Falun Dafa. Practitioners have been practising in this park for near 5 years. In 2000, it was quite difficult for practitioners due to the pressure from the Chinese Communist Party on the Malaysian government, as well as the influence of the Jiang regime's propaganda campaign. However, with practitioners' continuous efforts to let people hear the facts, people are learning the truth and the practise environment has been constantly improving.

As this park has a lot of tourists, practitioners have been displaying posters exposing the persecution and distributing materials in order to help civilians know about the truth. During the past 5 years, most local residents who have come to the park for exercise or pleasure have obtained the practitioners' materials.

A practitioner who has participated in several anti-torture exhibitions recently proposed that an anti-torture exhibition be held in the park to help people better understand the brutality of the persecution. Practitioners thereafter started to prepare. Some prepared leaflets, posters and props for the exhibition, and some practitioners from other regions also came to help with make-up and torture re-enactment.

The exhibition was staged on April 17. Practitioners came to the park very early to practise and set up the exhibition. By 7 a.m., local residents who came for the morning exercises noticed that there were many large poster boards at the front gate of the park. And even more surprisingly, there were two people who were being "tortured". Gradually, more and more people came to practitioners to see what was going on. Practitioners told them about the persecution and gave them fliers, as well as information VCD's.

The exhibition touched many people's hearts. A gentleman initially believed that the exhibition was bringing shame to China. A practitioner spoke to him: "The Chinese Communist regime has murdered so many practitioners. If they weren't wrong, why would they fear letting others know about it? What the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has done is a true shame, but the CCP isn't the same thing as China." After he calmed down, this gentleman acknowledged that the CCP indeed has killed many practitioners.

During the event, many kind-hearted people of different ethnic origins and backgrounds signed the practitioners' petition, calling on Congressional representatives to help end the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. After learning about the persecution, two locals expressed their support for Falun Gong and helped practitioners to other people learn the truth.

A lady whose last name was Yan commented that people should have the courage to take a stand against the persecution.
