Ms. Wang Lixuan was 27 years old, held a bachelor's degree and lived in Xixia City, Shandong Province. Her son Meng Hao was only eight months old.
On October 21, 2000, Ms. Wang Lixuan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. She took her eight-month-old son Meng Hao with her, holding him in her arms. On the morning of November 7, 2000, they were arrested by police on Tiananmen Square. Because Ms. Wang Lixuan formerly worked for a company in the Yantai Development Special Region, on the afternoon of November 7, 2000, policeman Mou from the Yantai Development Region Police Station took her to the Yantai Development Region's Beijing Liaison Office located on the 18th floor of the Hua-Ao Centre Building. They were in the custody of policeman Mou. Around 4 p.m., Ms. Wang Lixuan and her son plunged to their deaths from the 18th floor of that building.
Ms. Wang Lixuan's mother Li Xiuxiang, who is also a Falun Dafa practitioner, and her husband received the notice of the death of Ms. Wang and her son, and then went to Beijing to confirm their identities.
The circumstances of Ms. Wang Lixuan's and her baby son's death have still not been properly investigated. We truly believe the truth will surface when Jiang Zemin and the CCP's propaganda campaign and information blockade come to an end. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, Jiang and his followers can never deny their responsibility for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
