On Saturday the 11th of June, a group of Falun Gong practitioners visited Malacky, a small town in western Slovakia. In the pedestrian zone of Mierove Square they demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and distributed flyers to let more people know about the cruel persecution waged against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the last six years. This persecution has taken over 2,500 lives, as practitioners have been systematically tortured to death at the hands of Chinese officials.
Large posters displayed the crimes which the CCP perpetrates against people in China’s forced labour camps, as well details of the gruesome methods of torture used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.
One man read the descriptions on the posters and without a word went to sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. As he left, he said quietly, “I understand you. My father, who was in Matthausen Concentration Camp during World War Two, was severely persecuted and tortured. I support you.”
