A total of seventy-four Falun Dafa practitioners were transferred from other areas to the Changchun Chaoyanggou Labour Camp on December 24, 2001. Among them were twenty practitioners from Tonghua City, thirty practitioners from Liaoyuan City and twenty-four practitioners from Baishan City. Changchun Chaoyanggou Labour Camp established a special "riot-control squad" composed of ruthless young wardens, for the specific purpose of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Some wardens even loudly claimed, "Chaoyanggou Labour Camp originated the means of dealing with Falun Gong. That's why you were all transferred here."
These practitioners were intimidated and beaten immediately upon entering the labour camp, and their heart-rending cries never stopped. Many criminals also wilfully beat practitioners, acting on no more than a simple hint from the conniving wardens. The practitioners were forbidden from talking to one another. Each practitioner was sandwiched between criminals on either side. They were followed around every minute and frequently abused or beaten.
Practitioner Chen Mingxian, from Liaoyuan City, was assigned to Team Four and has been on a hunger strike for many days. The Labour Camp detained Chen in a tiny cell and force-fed Chen.
