Letter from German Falun Gong practitioners to Citizens in Shenyang and Benxi

Dear citizens in Shenyang City and Benxi City,

How are you? We are Falun Gong practitioners overseas and would like to tell you about an incident which has happened in your cities and is stirring the hearts of practitioners abroad. Our friends Jiang Renzheng and Guo Rui, a couple of young Falun Gong practitioners who lived in Germany for several years with their two young children, went back to Shenyang on the 8th of March 2005. Two weeks later, they went to their parents in Shizaizhi village in Benxi County, where the personnel from the State Security Bureau in Benxi City came and apprehended Jiang Renzheng. They took him and his father away and questioned them for ten hours, bullying Jiang Renzheng to give up practising Falun Gong and asking him to reveal what he had been doing in Germany. As he did not co-operate, the personnel from the State Security Bureau often came to his home, threatening, forcing and interrogating him. On the 8th of April, when he was at his in-law’s home in Shenyang, seven policemen suddenly burst in and took Jiang Renzheng away forcibly. On that day Jiang was locked up in Wening Forced Labour Camp in Benxi City and sentenced to forced labour for three years without going through any legal formalities.

This incident has greatly shocked people abroad because Falun Gong is being spread in over seventy countries in the world at present. Many western people have been deeply moved by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, the virtues of Falun Gong. They have learned and understood Falun Gong. Many governments and officials have praised and honoured Falun Gong and its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, because of the health and peace achieved by those who practise.

The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is so terrible that it has shocked people all over the world. The German Government had never expected that Jiang Renzhang would be locked up in a labour camp as soon as he went back to China. At present, human rights organisations in Germany, the United Nations, the media and the German people are calling on the German Government to rescue Jiang Renzheng back to Germany. The International Organisation of Human Rights in Germany has made a statement asking the Chinese Government to release Jiang Renzheng at once and has held activities to rescue him where they have collected petition signatures. Because of these strong and just calls, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Germany has clearly expressed that they will try to rescue Jiang Renzheng. On the 3rd of June, the Commissioner from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Germany went to Beijing and participated in the annual Human Rights Dialogue between China and Germany. He raised poignant criticism of the situation of human rights in China and urged China to release Jiang Renzheng.

Perhaps you do not know yet that the Chinese Government has never stopped persecuting Falun Gong in the past six years. By using more cover-ups and hidden, cruel means, they have brutally tortured and killed the people who do not give up their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Up to now, many testimonies of witnesses and material evidence have proved that 2,529 people have been persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist Party. A great amount of data, in the meantime, has shown that many Falun Gong practitioners have disappeared, and it is obvious that some of them have been killed secretly. The inhumanity of the Chinese Communist Party has been severely condemned by people all over the world.

At the same time, another world-shaking event is happening now. The Epoch Times, a well-known Chinese newspaper, has published to the world a great book called Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The book has thoroughly exposed the wicked, gangster nature of the Communist Party and is being widely spread in Mainland China. Every day, thousands of people express that they are willing to free themselves from the Chinese Communist Party. Two million people have already withdrawn from it now.

Beloved citizens, now the persecution is happening around you and your fellow countrymen are suffering. For more than fifty years under the power of the Chinese Communist Party, the lives of millions of people have been taken away by its violent nature and over half of the Chinese people have been hurt directly or indirectly. Today, the CCP is killing Falun Gong practitioners and using rumours to deceive thousands and thousands of kind people so that it can do whatever it wants. Beloved citizens, for yourselves, for your offspring, for our Chinese nation, please give your heart bravely to end the persecution together with us.
