We don't have enough manpower; so many people from other work units were moved in to closely monitor every action of Falun Gong. There will be a 1000 Yuan RMB (the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan) bonus for arresting each practitioner. Some were assigned to wait in ambush to arrest the practitioners, while others were assigned to carry out secret investigations."
About 5:00 p.m. on December 31 2001, I saw several police cars rush by with sirens blaring. Soon thereafter, several police cars drove by slowly, without any sirens. On the way, I met two other practitioners and they said, "The policemen were just following orders from above, but we came out to clarify the truth as usual. Four thousand copies of truth clarifying literature have been distributed. Four thousand small flyers were posted, and two hundred banners were hung." Many colourful banners stating, "Falun Dafa is Good!" were fluttering over our village.
