Practitioner Jiang Wei Requests a Fair Hearing after Two Years of Torture

Female Falun Dafa practitioner Jiang Wei was born on July 14, 1963, and was a resident of Group 10, Erqiyingzi Village, and Mengke Township in Chaoyang City in Liaoning Province. After July 20, 1999 she went to Beijing to appeal.

On October 29, 1999, she was transferred to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, where she has been illegally detained for more than two years. During her two years of detention in this labour camp, she has suffered inhuman torture and has been cut off from the outside world through strict surveillance.

After much difficulty, she eventually sent out a letter appealing for the attention of conscientious people around the world. Her letter requests a fair hearing in order to expose the evil deeds at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp to people in the world. According to the bloody facts of the persecution described in Ms. Jiang's letter and by other practitioners who have been in Masanjia, practitioners in China urgently call for the attention and help of the international community and the United Nations Human Rights Commission. We demand an immediate end to all torture at Masanjia against all illegally detained practitioners. We further demand the unconditional release of all unjustly detained practitioners and an end to the unreasonable persecution of all practitioners.

In order to prevent Jiang Wei from being murdered after the letter was smuggled out or to prevent the evil police from creating an impostor "Jiang Wei," we are attaching the following material evidence:

1. Copy of a letter Ms. Jiang wrote to the leaders of the Chinese government;

2. Copy of Ms. Jiang's Identification Card, issued on January 1, 1997;

3. Ms. Jiang's Registration Card in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, including a picture in which Jiang was holding up a plate in the camp.

4. A picture of Ms. Jiang Wei and her family taken in 1999, before she was imprisoned. Jiang is the second person from left in the checked coat. In the background is Yandu Hotel in Chaoyang City.
