Recently, former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin, from the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, openly declared his withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and exposed the fact that the CCP has a vast network of spies in Australia. He disclosed how the CCP has attempted to and continues to exert pressure and enticement on the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to interfere with and hinder artist and Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Cuiying's lawsuit against former Chinese president Jiang Zemin. The goal of such interference is to have the courts eventually drop the case. Therefore, Zhang Cuiying once again filed a petition with the NSW Supreme Court accusing Jiang Zemin and the 610 Office of persecuting Falun Gong.

Zhang Cuiying once again delivers a petition to the NSW Supreme Court

The delivery of the lawsuit this time has an obvious change as compared to the lawsuit delivered on September 15, 2004: Last year, after the lawsuit was delivered, it proceeded only very slowly over the past ten months. The court brought up the case twice, but the defendants did not appear in court to reply. It seemed that the court could not accomplish much, and no definite results came about. Chen Yonglin's exposing the facts forced the behind-the-scenes, covert dealings into broad daylight. That the CCP even would entice the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to interfere with the lawsuit was shocking to the Australian media and people. This time, the delivery of the petition was made after the exposure of the previous covert dealings, and any "trades" and evasive actions will be harder to carry out. The delivery procedure was quite smooth, and the court accepted the lawsuit on the spot. Several days later, it was heard that the court has issued and sent out a subpoena to the defendants, Jiang Zemin and the 610 Office, ordering them to wait for the date of the court's public hearing. They requested that Jiang and the 610 Office come to Australia to reply in person at the NSW Supreme Court.

Zhang Cuiying said, "The lawsuit is a touchstone to test the Australian democratic political system and the independence of the judicial system. One the one side, there is me, an ordinary Australian woman, standing up to safeguard the principles of Falun Gong - 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.' Because of this I was illegally imprisoned in China for eight months. I suffered torture, being incarcerated in a male cell and suffered humiliation and insult. On the other side is the deceitful CCP's malevolent former leader, who looks powerful, with money and authority at his disposal. I remember in October 2000, when the Guangdong Province's Supreme Court in China held a court hearing, the police grabbed my complaint from the hand of Australian Consul Mr. Russell Ellis in front of the judge and procurators. Their rogue acts could even be carried out in a court of law! While today, in such a free and democratic land as Australia, I hope and call for all kind-hearted and righteous people and associations to work together to show concern and support, and help me to file the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin and the 610 Office. In doing so, the Australian judiciary will side with righteousness and fairness of the law, and will not be interfered with by the malevolent CCP in their attempts to affect the just and fair nature of the judiciary."
