On July 25th 2005, just after commemorative activities marking six years of the persecution against Falun Gong in China, Falun Gong practitioners from Estonia, Latvia and Finland hold a peaceful appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

This was the first appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Estonia demanding an immediate end to the persecution against Falun Gong. Several representatives from the local media came to report on the activity. Three TV channels made an interview and a story of the appeal. While practitioners were demonstrating peaceful Falun Gong exercises and holding banners, reporters from the Baltic News Service and different newspapers were interviewing practitioners. In the evening and the next day, news of the appeal was aired throughout Estonia as well as in other Baltic countries.

IN the last six years, over 2,600 practitioners had been killed at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The persecution against Falun Gong is one of the most brutal and systematic human rights crimes in the world today.
Having lived under the communist dictatorship, the Estonian people can easily understand Falun Gong practitioners suffering from the persecution. During the appeal, passers-by showed their support and accepted more information about the CCP's brutal campaign of genocide.
