My Name Appears in a Document Newly Provided by Defector Hao Fengjun

The Epoch Times published an article entitled "Hao Fengjun's* Provides a Document That Exposes How the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is Panicking Because of the Nine Commentaries." My name was mentioned in that document. Now I'd like to share some of the related events and situations I experienced. *Hao Fengjun was a former policeman from the 610 Office (1) of the Tianjin Public Security Bureau. He escaped from China in February 2005 and was granted a protection visa in Australia. He secretly brought with him all the documents he had downloaded from his office computer.

How my colleagues and I benefited from practising Falun Dafa

I began practising Falun Gong at the end of 1996, and in a very short time all of my illnesses were cured without using any medication. I also witnessed the miraculous changes experienced by my coworkers after they started practising Falun Gong. In 1999, when China began the suppression of Falun Gong, I heard about and witnessed the evil persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. In order to practise our beliefs freely, my whole family immigrated to Canada in 2001.

Before practising Falun Gong, I was bothered by Meniere's syndrome for many years. Whenever it recurred I would look ghostly pale, my lips would turn purple, I would feel dizzy, and I could not see clearly. Whenever I was under a lot of pressure at work, the illness would recur. The recurrences became more frequent, which affected my ability to do my job. For over 20 years I also suffered from a form of dermatitis that neither Chinese or Western medicine could cure.

After a colleague introduced Falun Gong to me, I started to practise it. In the courtyard of our workplace, 40 to 50 people practised the Falun Gong exercises every morning. The scene was quite magnificent. At that time, many workplaces had their own Falun Gong practice sites. The 605 Institute of the Nuclear Industry Ministry, located next door, also had a practice site. There were even more people practising Falun Gong there. There were also practice sites in the residential areas, and more and more people came to practise Falun Gong.

Within a short time after I started practising Falun Gong, I experienced its miraculous healing effects. The Meniere's syndrome occurred less and less often. In a little over one year it was cured. My dermatitis gradually improved and was totally gone within two years.

After practising Falun Gong for six months, all of a sudden I suffered paralysis on the right side of my face. My mouth became so crooked that I was unable to close it properly. When I ate, some food would slip out. I also had difficulty brushing my teeth. I could not close my right eyelid all the way. Despite all this, I did not go to see a doctor. Instead, I chose to practise the exercises. In one month I was fully recovered. One of my colleagues suffered the same illness as me, but after trying to find a cure, he still suffered from the effects of the facial paralysis. A colleague of my wife's had the same situation. After spending 17,000 yuan (2) the person still failed to secure a full recovery. Thus it can be seen that Falun Gong really has miraculous healing effects.

I still remember very clearly what happened to three of my former colleagues who practised Falun Gong.

The first person was a retired engineer from the Quality Inspection Section, Mr. Ma Zunde, who had a hunchback of 30 degrees. After practising Falun Gong his spine straightened out (See Attachment 1). I witnessed the changes.

The second person was Mr. Xu from the Equipment Testing Centre. He suffered from cirrhosis. The patients who were in the same ward with Mr. Xu all died of the disease. That made Mr. Xu despair for his future. At last it was Falun Gong that saved his life. His case was published in the Falun Gong information materials.

The third person was Mr. Li from the Number Four Study Section. Because he dealt with radioactive materials all year round, he suffered from radiation poisoning. After practising Falun Gong, his body was purified and all the poisons accumulated inside his body were removed. Falun Gong gave him back his health.

A Falun Dafa practitioner's experiences

"The die hard Falun Gong practitioner Wu Yanxia from Jixian County" mentioned in one of the documents secretly brought out by Hao Fengjun is my wife. She was a loyal CCP member and received a bagful of honorary certificates. However, because of a constant heavy workload, she suffered from many illnesses. A serious ulcer and neurosis greatly affected her ability to work. In 1997 she began to practise Falun Gong and her illnesses all disappeared - she radiated the vigour of youth.

In 1999 Jiang Zemin began a crackdown on Falun Gong. Wu Yanxia just could not figure out why such repressive measures were happening. She was a beneficiary and a loyal CCP member, yet she was on the verge of collapse when faced with the onslaught of lies that were everywhere. It was as if they eclipsed the sky and covered the earth. When the CCP tried to force her to give up her beliefs, her conscience overcame her loyalty to the Party and she said "No" to the CCP.

As a result she was immediately relegated to a different class of people in the eyes of the authorities. She lost her freedom to visit her relatives and friends. The police and neighbours constantly harassed her family. Even her relatives who came to visit from far away were interrogated. The police took her away without allowing her to eat even a bite of the meal she had just prepared. The police frequently took her from our home or her work unit for questioning. Our house was broken into and her computer searched. She was followed wherever she went and her telephone line was tapped. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing centre many times, and she lost all of her freedom.

However, such persecution made her see the true nature of the CCP. In order to avoid further persecution, we had to leave our home and go from place to place. I finally ended up here in Canada.

Persecution of family members

The generation before me suffered from the CCP's heavy-handed rule. For being in the "bad" class of people, one of my uncles and one of my aunts were clubbed to death by the CCP. Because my family was mostly upper middle class farmers, my elder sisters were deprived of their rights to a higher education. I was a very obedient citizen and never wanted to cause any trouble. However, after the CCP started to crack down on Falun Gong, I was dragged into the position of being a "criminal." The sufferings of my loved ones and myself also gave me a clearer understanding of the true nature of the CCP.

My father-in-law suffered from serious rheumatoid arthritis and fully recovered after practising Falun Gong. Simply because his son and daughter practised Falun Gong, however, they were detained for a quite long time and nobody knew if they were alive or not. The old man requested permission to visit them but his request was turned down. He missed his children very much but was not allowed to see them. He died without having seeing his children again.

My wife's sister was detained in the Jixian County Detention Centre in the city of Tianjin for nine months. During the detention she was brutally beaten and suffered forced feeding. As a result, the joints of her fingers were injured and remained numb for a very long time. She was then transferred to Jianxin Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City, where she was forced to do slave labour. She was held there for 20 months. During her detention the Tianjin Evening Newspaper fabricated a lot of lies about her. (See Attachment 2)

My wife's brother was also detained in the Jixian County Detention Centre in Tianjin for nine months. During his detention he, too, was brutally beaten and had to endure force-feeding. He was transferred to Shuangkou Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City, where he was forced to do slave labour and was shocked continuously by the prison guards with 150,000 vote electric batons at a time when he had scabies all over his body. He was detained in the forced labour camp for 28 months. (See Attachment 3)

My wife's cousin, Ms. Wu Yuling, was locked up at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City for practising Falun Gong. Besides being forced to do slave labour, she was brutally tortured, beaten, and subjected to torturous forced-feeding. Her skull was broken as a result of a beating and she was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. (See Attachment 4)

The police arrested my nephew from his home just before the Chinese New Year for refusing to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong. He supports his grandparents and a daughter under two years old. He should have spent the New Year with his family. Instead, the police made him stay outside to suffer from the biting cold weather. He was also beaten by the police. The police tied his hands behind his back with a rope that was looped around his neck when they escorted him back home to ransack his house. The police took his Falun Gong books and extorted 2000 "yuan" from him without giving him a receipt.

Whole-heartedly quitting the CCP

I only joined the CCP for a short period of time. After many years of brainwashing I had become accustomed to living in an abnormal and terrible situation. Only recently, after witnessing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and looking back at my life after reading the Nine Commentaries, was I greatly touched. Therefore, it was only natural for me to quit the CCP.
