A Letter to the Editor of The Goteborg Post (Sweden): The National Memorial Day for the Chinese People

The 1st of October was indeed a dark day for the Chinese people. Fifty six years ago, the Chinese Communist Party set up its regime in China. The Chinese people were deprived of freedom from then on. They were slaughtered, their humanity wrecked and their dignity taken away. The Goteborg Post published the following letter from a Chinese reader on the 3rd of October.

October the 1st is the National Day of the PRC. Fifty six years ago on this day Mao Zedong announced on the Tiananmen Rostrum the establishment of the PRC. From then on, the Chinese people began to live under a reign of terror by the Communist Party of China (CCP) and went through one bloody political campaign after another aiming at rooting out dissidents and forcing people to obey. The combined campaigns have claimed the lives of eighty million Chinese people.

Before I came to Sweden, I celebrated the National Day because I was glad to have a holiday.
However, today, I am deeply sad. On the face of the true history of the CCP, what are we celebrating? The victims in the persecution campaign (1950-1953), in the campaign against the right (1957), in the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), in the Tiananmen massacre, or in the persecution of Falun Gong, Tibetan Buddhists and underground churches?

The day of the establishment of the CCP is not the day when China, with thousands years of traditional culture, was founded. The 1st of October is not a National Day but a Memorial Day for China. The CCP is not equal to my motherland China. China without the CCP rule can benefit the world. I believe a democratic China is rising."

This letter to the editor represented the voice of the masses in China. Since The Epoch Times published the series of editorials "Nine Commentaries of the Communist Party" at the end of November, an unprecedented historical great change is taking place in China and even the world. People have embarked on a time-breaking spiritual awakening movement after realising the evil essence of the Communist Party of China.

The CCP is the most brutal and evil autocratic regime in the history of mankind. The black paper on communism published in France revealed the simple fact with exhaustive historical material. According to the conclusion of this book, communism has in peacetime caused the unnatural deaths of two hundred million people altogether. The Chinese have killed eighty million out of these two hundred million people. Someone thus said, other tyrannies killed in order to capture power, yet the Communist Party seized power in order to kill.

Now the number of people withdrawing from the CCP is nearing five million. This is an historical turning point. It declares to common people: The CCP is disintegrating. A new China without the CCP will be born. It indicates that hundreds of millions of Chinese people are becoming disenchanted with the CCP and demand to get rid of autocracy and move towards moral awakening. It has declared the bankruptcy of the CCP's lies and violent oppression, the failure of evil communist ideology in China and the beginning of the biggest social transformation and reform of human society.
