On November 21st-24th 2005, the "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validate the Fa Photo Exhibition" was held at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Mountain Campus. About 120 photos displayed the history of Falun Gong spreading to the world in over one decade's time, and practitioners peacefully resisting the Chinese Communist Party's persecution. Exhibits also included photos of large scale group Falun Gong practice in China before the persecution started. The four-day exhibition left a strong impression on the students and teachers.

Many visitors wanted to learn the exercises. They said that since so many people practised these exercises, there must be something special about them. Some students began to learn the exercises at the exhibition site. A few of them could sit with both legs crossed the first time while learning the mediation.

A student from Czech was very excited and repeated "I find Falun Dafa!" many times. He learned the exercises seriously and said he would teach his friends when he went back home at Christmas.

A student from Slovenia also worked as a part time security guard at the campus. He said, "I have been looking for Falun Gong for a long time. The Falun Gong art show last time gave me a strong impression. I have wanted to learn it since then." This time, he came to the exhibition and began to learn the exercises.

In the School of Communication, there is a course about Falun Gong. In order to complete a class thesis, the international students from China invited Falun Gong practitioners to have a discussion with them. The practitioners talked about the fake "Tiananmen Self-immolation Case" to expose the communist party controlled media's role in abetting the persecution. They also introduced the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

The department of education also offered help to the photo exhibition and provided rooms to store the exhibited artworks.
