On December 8th, 2005, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group (FGHRWG) exposed the appalling rape case of two women practitioners by a Hebei police officer on its website, falunhr.org. In just a few hours, the website received many comments from people around the world. They signed a petition sponsored by FGHRWG and strongly condemned the appalling crime. Many of them also pointed out that the rape was a tragic result of the communist regime and they promised to do what they could to help end the persecution. Reprinted below are some of the comments made by the visitors to the website. [ed. note: The comments are reproduced exactly as originally written.]

Comment: It was very difficult reading Ms Liu Jazhi testimony. I am horrified that such an abuse of power that the Dongchengfang Town Police are guilty of. The Chinese governments' persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is deplorable. I know that these next few years will more than likely see a huge increase in Human Rights abuses such as this, and I only have compassion for the victims of this Fascist Police regime. This unfortunately clearing demonstrates the level of evolution the police are at. (or not)

I can only say that while it may take some time for justice to occur, I do know that it will. But until then I stand as a voice against this kind of barbaric behaviour.

Just remember "what goes around comes around".

Comment: Today 05-12-08, Chinese prime minister is visiting our country. The question of the human rights was putted aside, because of international trade. I shame about our government. And I full-hardly believe that the Truth will rise up again.

Comment: How terrible, what an awful crime. Democracy will triumph one day in China and such crimes will no longer occur; we must change the system to fight these crimes against humanity.

Comments: Evil people that do such wickedness soon be brought to justice and they will have to answer for their crimes. What they do is wrong.

Comments: Rape and torture are cruel and must be stopped! I sympathise with the victims and I feel sorry for the weak mind of the perpetrators which let them do such cruel things.

Comments: If the report its true, then a full investigation by the authorities is absolutely essential. A civilised government can only expect its authority to be accepted by its people if it makes serious investigations into abuses which are said to have been committed by individuals acting within the scope of their work.

Comments: When will the madness come to an end? These stories make me wonder China is progressing to become a democratic 1st world country.

J. T.

Comments: Justice must be placed on this police!

J. Y.
