On the morning of December 29th, some Indonesian practitioners in Jakarta went to the Thai Embassy to hold a peaceful protest. Along with other posters and banners, they displayed a banner that read, "Don't be an Accomplice of the CCP" (Chinese Communist Party). They also delivered an open letter to the embassy, in which they condemned the rough treatment, arrests and detention of practitioners in Thailand that took place from December 10th to 15th.

The open letter stated: The CCP has persecuted practitioners of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" for more than 6 years. The persecution has raised great concern in the international community and among human rights organisations worldwide, and the voices calling for action to end the persecution have been ever growing. In addition, more than 6.7 million Chinese have withdrawn from the CCP. It is truly unwise for the Thai government to give in to the CCP's pressure. We hope the Thai government will be clear about what is right and wrong and not assist CCP in the unlawful persecution of Falun Gong.
Mr. Narunchai of the Thai Embassy met with practitioners and promised to pass on the practitioners' requests and wishes to the ambassador. He said that Thailand is ruled by law and respects human rights, and thus everyone has the right to express their opinions in various ways.
The Thai incident has received attention worldwide. To express their deep concern, Falun Gong practitioners worldwide have in succession conducted protests at their local Thai embassies or consulates, urging the Thai government not to assist the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
