On January 28th, the eve of Chinese New Year, the Spain branch of the “Global Service Centre for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party” (CCP) once again launched a petition-signing campaign in Puerta del Sol, Madrid, to expose the CCP’s brutal violence and to support 7.5 million people quitting the CCP. A 3-hour rally was held, during which almost one thousand people signed a petition to condemn the CCP for its brutal violence and to support the 7.5 million brave defectors. In mid-February this number reached eight million.
Some Spanish Falun Gong practitioners joined the event to protest against the CCP’s six-year persecution against Falun Gong. At least 2,804 innocent people have lost their lives, millions of Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally arrested, detained and/or abused by Chinese police, up to 1 million have been illegally sent to forced labour camps without trials and over 38,000 specific cases of torture or severe abuse have been documented by human rights workers. The following are the photos about the campaign in Madrid.
