The Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been waged for over six years now, and practitioners' enormous suffering and losses they have incurred has drawn attention from kind-hearted people everywhere. The brutality of the persecution has shocked the public; people are starting to understand the true nature of the Chinese Communist regime. The Falun Gong Human Right Working Group (FGHRWG) has documented persecution cases of Falun Gong practitioners and compiled them into books for people to read. The following is a list of feedback that the FGHRWG has received from its readers. We hope that those who still support the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution in China will listen to these upright voices coming from overseas.
Condemning the Rape in Hebei Province:
Kim Tostenson from the U.S.A.:
"I am truly horrified to know the depth of depravity and barbarity one human can reap upon another, but I am even more appalled when these actions are sanctioned by a nation. Human rights must be respected by all, everywhere if the human race is to continue. Sanctions must be brought against China and they absolutely should not be permitted to host the Olympics. Please get involved, write letters and remember this woman's story and courage in your prayers each day."
Colm Agus Eibhlín Ó Tórna from Dublin, Ireland:
"This is a betrayal of all that is noble and admirable in the great Chinese culture. Those who have been humiliated and suffered are true Chinese human beings; they should never feel ashamed. It is the perpetrators who have shamed their country and their people."
Tanoa from Fiji:
"I think that the perpetrators should be punished for their crimes. What they have done is horrible."
Paul Morrissey from Canada:
"One hopes that the Chinese authorities will prove that China will no longer tolerate such abuses against its people, and that the rapist will be charged and punished for his brutality."
TB from England:
"This has to stop, God will punish them for this sinful act."
Sandy McCathie from Australia:
"I am horrified and shocked. What can lead people to do such things? These persecutions and barbaric acts must stop."
D. Gllagher from Canada:
"Religious groups need to freely worship and practise. I believe China will never achieve democracy until they stop persecuting religious groups, including Christians."
Rodney Curtis from the United Kingdom:
"A shocking abuse of power by the Communist Party of China: Torture and rape as instruments of oppression have no place in the modern world. I hope that the people who visit China...will boycott these countries and support Falun Gong in the future. I know I will."
Carol Burns from Salt Lake City, UT:
"You think education is expensive? Try ignorance--and THAT is exactly what perpetrators like these are--ignorant. Let's see if we can get some education in them and then see if they respond appropriately with regard to gender in the future. We can only hope."
Marwesti from Nederland:
"In this day and age....WHY????"
ROBYN BERSTEN from Australia:
"I am appalled that in this day and age the Chinese government continues to torture and persecute their own people on the basis of their beliefs. I urge all governments to do everything in their power to stop this appalling policy of persecution."
Vladislav Kovalenko from Lithuania:
"China needs to adhere to the human rights convention, or have sanctions imposed on them."
Nola Crewe from Toronto, Canada:
"Such barbarity is utterly unacceptable in a nation which claims it wishes to advance and join civilised people. May you find it in your hearts to forgive them . . . for without repentance God surely will not forgive?"
Penelope Abraham from London, UK:
"A very shocking report of violence against Falun Gong: Please register my concern."
Concerning the Incident in Thailand
Pam McLennan from Canada:
"The Thai police clearly acted out of the ordinary and seem to have been directed by the Chinese government. Such overt misuse of power cannot go unrecognised and unpunished.
This incident needs to be investigated by an outside agency and the police need to make a public apology to the arrested Falun Gong practitioners. The police are there to protect citizens from violence. They should not be perpetrating violence on innocent peaceful people."
NORMAL FAMILY MAN from the United Kingdom:
"THIS IS THE WORK OF COWARDS, This barbaric and inhuman treatment exercised by the Thai Government must not continue. IT IS TIME THE POLICE WERE POLICED BY A HIGHER FORCE. ANYONE THAT DOES THIS INHUMANE TREATMENT TO ANOTHER HUMAN FOR WHAT EVER REASON SHOULD BE PUNISHED SEVERELY, POSSIBLY EVEN BY THE WAYS THAT THEY PREACH BY THERE OWN HANDS. THEY ARE COWARDS AND THE WORST TYPE!"
DAVID from N Ireland:
"On visits to China I have found the people to be very courteous and helpful. Those suffering oppression should be free to express their feelings in a peaceful manner. The United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) should be able to do more for these people."
Ugyen Tsewang from India:
"I strongly condemn the way the Chinese government seized the rights of the people. Every one has his/her own taste, whether in food, clothing, religion or culture. One should respect the rights and taste of others. The Chinese government gives no value to the basic human rights of the people. I strongly condemn the way the Thai government detained the Falun Gong practitioners with no reason at all."
Ling from Canada:
"To the Thai government and officers: 'Did the case happen as you wanted? I am sure the answer is no. I am sure that you acted under control by the Chinese Communist Party. Are you dreaming the CCP can bring you money or other benefits? I have to say it is your dream only. The reality is that the CCP will bring you danger. Why? You must read the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.'" My words to you are: 'Do not follow the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Release all Falun Gong practitioners. Treat them as well as you can. They are the hope of your country, your people and yourself.'"
Chris Gladstone from UK:
"This barbaric and inhuman treatment exercised by the Thai Government must not continue. Release the detainees and allow peaceful demonstrations against the actions of the Peoples Republic of China. Citizens of the free world must speak out against this torture and oppression and boycott the Olympic Games in China."
Cliff Chen from USA:
"I thought Thailand is an independent country, but it appears now it is part of China and totally controlled by the Chinese government. It's a shame to see these innocent people arrested and beaten up by Thai police just to please the Chinese Consulate. They must all be released immediately as they committed no crime."
Martin Mc Daid from N. Ireland:
"From a country coming out of conflict, I can say that a police force must be on the side of the people. The police must let these practitioners go and compensate them for their suffering. Maybe they should even take up Falun Gong."
J. Morris from UK:
"One can only subjugate a conscience for so long. The conscience will always win eventually. See Gandhi, Mandela and others."
Charmaine Millott from Canada:
"These people deserve to be released immediately! They are innocent of any crime while the CCP continues to commit many crimes and gets away with it. What is wrong with today's global society? Give me a break! If you do not let them go free then aren't you a criminal permitting violence for the children of the world to learn and suffer from. We need to teach these children and others that they have freedom of speech or can at least have it. They deserve it. What person would let a child watch their parents and others go through this? There is no reason to do this to their parents and anyone anyways. It goes to show you how the CCP will abuse anyone of any age, race, colour, etc."
Delphine Pillar from Pennsylvania, USA:
"People should have the right to practise any religion they choose and not be subject to violence and loss of human rights. The government and the Thai police might find themselves on the other end of the loss in the future. What are they, the thought police?? Perhaps the next time they need help, they won't get it."
Mickey Lam from England/Birmingham:
"Thai police and Thailand - stop being puppets for the Chinese Communist Party. Wake up!"
Lani Imhof from Australia:
"Please release any prisoners held for their peaceful beliefs in practising Falun Gong. These people are not terrorists and should not be tortured or imprisoned."
Mike Weeks from Bristol, United Kingdom:
"If China (and Thailand) really wishes to be a part of the modern world, they should wake up from an archaic slumber and see that freedom to practise one's beliefs is a right every citizen of this planet should have."
Marrowstone Arts from USA:
"The world is always watching and the side of right will eventually surface because of it. I'm sure the Thai government will understand the rights of individual beliefs and release these innocent victims."
