On Sunday April 9th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland collected signatures in Dublin to appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP. After learning that the CCP removes organs from live Falun Gong practitioners passersby readily signed our petition. To make the petition more convenient, practitioners prepared addressed envelopes to be sent to members of parliament. A lot of people said they would mail the protest letter after signing the petition. Some people took the report about the concentration camps and the petition letter to their families. A lady took many petition letters for her colleagues after signing her name. A lot of people said that the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP in labour camps was really too terrible. Practitioners gave them the English version of the Epoch Times' editorial "Nine Commentaries of the Communist Party" and hoped they learn about the history of the CCP more clearly.

Some Chinese people expressed sympathy for Falun Gong after learning about the savage persecution by the CCP. A middle-aged Chinese said, "What is the use of this!" on hearing about the petition and protest. The practitioners told him they will send the letters to the government departments so that all walks of life in society can condemn the persecution. After listening to the explanation, he signed his name at once.

A married couple who travelled to Ireland said they believed the authenticity of this incident after hearing about the CCP removing organs from live Falun Gong practitioners and asked for the "Nine Commentaries" in Chinese to go home and read. A woman from China listened to a practitioner's explanation for more than half an hour.

When the activity finished, light rain fell. However, many people still came to sign. Almost all the prepared protest letters were signed.
