On the afternoon of April 12th, Taipei practitioners rallied outside the headquarters of the Nationalist Party (KMT) to urge former KMT chair Lien Chan, who was to visit China, to pay close attention to the CCP's organ harvesting from living practitioners and to request the CCP to open all facilities used to detain practitioners for a full investigation.

As many groups were protesting Lien's visit to China that morning, the security guard was quite stressed upon seeing practitioners in their yellow shirts. He repeatedly asked practitioners to leave. Practitioners then clarified the truth to him: Do you know that the CCP is harvesting organs from living practitioners for profit? It is happening in many places in China, and to destroy all evidence, it is now speeding up organ transplant operations to kill Falun Gong practitioners. We came here to invite Mr. Lien to join us to stop the inhuman atrocities of the CCP and rescue human lives."
Looking at the truth-clarifying materials, the security staff said that Mr. Lien was not there that day. "However, you can move closer to the main entrance as there are many reporters. You can also give your materials to the persons in charge of these types of issues. I am sure that they would be happy to help pass the information along. When he led practitioners in to deliver the appeal letter, several pro-communist individuals yelled at practitioners. The guard scolded them while telling practitioners to ignore those guys. He said: "They don't know the truth."
Legislative councilman, Lin Chung-Mo said to his assistant: I will join them [Falun Gong practitioners] |
When practitioners were moving toward the main entrance, some reporters waiting outside the headquarters swarmed along. They took many photos of practitioners' posters and banners. Many passing-by vehicles and pedestrians also saw practitioners' rally and accepted truth-clarifying fliers. Later, three legislative councilmen came, and they all gave thumbs up to the practitioners. One of the councilmen, Lin Chung-Mo who has been a long time supporter of Falun Gong, told his assistant: "I will join them."
He said: "People are not here just to pursue commercial interests, people should have human rights and dignity. Human rights issues should not be dodged when dealing with the CCP."
