"Very interesting; the first time I have heard a foreigner’s opinion of Falun Gong"

This afternoon I popped out of my house to go to a shop about 15 minutes walk from my home. On the way back a girl and her friend asked me for some directions. I knew the road they were looking for and so I walked with them for part of the way to point them in the right direction. I asked one of the girls if she was Chinese and she said she was so told her that I could speak a bit of Chinese. I said "Nihao"(hello) " shi nian hao"(Happy New Year) and she commented that my pronunciation was good and said that I must have Chinese friends. I told her that I practice Falun Gong and knew some Chinese people through practising Falun Gong. She laughed and seemed quite surprised or even bit shocked. Then I said "Falun Dafa Hao"(Falun Dafa is good) and she copied me by saying "Falun Dafa… hao" . They were both from the same university as me. We were able to chat for some time about Falun Gong, as I decided to walk them to the road they were looking for. I was able to tell them about an exhibition we are holding of Zhang Cuiying’s traditional Chinese paintings and they were keen to come along. They were very surprised to hear that Falun Gong has been good for my health and cleans up the body. The Chinese girl told me about people not taking medication, and this then causing them harm (as claimed from Chinese Government slanderous propaganda). I told her that Falun Gong does not prohibit taking medicine and I told her of a practitioner from the university practice site that has had long term health problems cleaned up through practicing Falun Gong. She was very surprised. I told her that only the Chinese government says such things about Falun Gong and that no such problems exist in the other fifty-plus countries where Falun Gong is practiced. I told her that they are deceiving the Chinese people. The Chinese girl said "very interesting; the first time I have heard a foreigner’s opinion of Falun Gong".
