Since May 8th, 2006, there have been many people coming to the Chinese Embassy to get visas. Because of this, there was an unusually long long line extending out from the front of the media. This may be because of the weeklong May Day holidays, during which the visa office of the Chinese Embassy closes for a week.

Those lining up outside the Chinese Embassy saw the Falun Gong practitioners' banner, which read; "Condemn the CCP Forced Labour Camps' Mass Killing of Falun Gong Practitioners, Live Organ Harvesting, Cremation of Bodies to Destroy the Evidence." People took pictures of the scene using their mobile phones and cameras. Some others watched practitioners doing the Falun Gong exercises. Some drivers passing by rolled down their car windows to wave at practitioners. One Chinese person walked out of the embassy and told the practitioners, "I'm a Christian, and I support you. The Communist Party is no good."
Singapore Falun Gong practitioners have been displaying banners outside the Chinese Embassy to protest the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) persecution of Falun Gong every morning since July 2005.
