I am a victim of Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. I was twice sent to forced labour camps and was detained for a total of five years. I have personally experienced the viciousness of the guards and witnessed how prison administrations covered their crimes when investigation groups arrived.
1. They would temporarily take down signs with special rules for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, such as signs forbidding practitioners from doing certain things issued by the Public Safety Ministry, etc. which obviously violated human rights and the constitution.
2. They arranged for some prisoners to be trained to answer questions, and specifically warned them not to tell visitors that there were Falun Gong practitioners detained there.
3. They moved all diligent Falun Dafa practitioners to a basement or secret place, in case they dared to expose the truth of this cruel persecution.
4. They removed all brutally tortured practitioners, including ones on the tiger bench1, ones cuffed on to the cement floor, and ones hanging on the heater pipes, to another place. They would stop the torture temporarily, locking the doors of the torture rooms and sealing the windows.
5. The investigation group would see in big characters "Video Recording Forbidden" upon arrival.
6. If any Falun Dafa practitioner requested to talk to the head of any investigation group, the guards would threaten the practitioner immediately and then torture them after the group left.
Based on the above facts, I suggest to the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) the following points:
1. Make unannounced visits so that the local authorities will not have time to cover things up or move evidence.
2. Make sure to check everywhere, not missing any door or opening.
3. Individually visit detained Falun Dafa practitioners and talk to regular prisoners, giving them a chance to awaken their own conscience and sense of justice.
4. Talk to the friends and family members of deceased Falun Dafa practitioners, including their neighbours.
Note
1. "Tiger Bench": Prisoners are forced to sit on a small iron bench that is approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall with their knees tied together. With their hands tied behind their backs or sometimes placed on their knees, they are forced to sit straight up and look straight ahead without movement for long periods of time.
