Greece: Exposing the CCP's Crimes at the European Social Forum in Athens

A Greek practitioner was invited to participate in the 4th European Social Forum, which would take place from 4th-7th of May in Athens. The forum was expecting more than 500 organisations from all over the world and more than 30,000 attendees. Greek practitioners thought this would be an excellent opportunity to let the public know about Falun Dafa and the persecution inflicted on practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party.

Due to the nature of the event, there were many people who were interested in left-wing politics. The Greek practitioners told them how the Chinese Communist Party is responsible for the deaths of over 80 million people in its fifty years of power and is now using all its instruments of persecution and propaganda in an attempt to stop Chinese people from practising Falun Gong. Many of them accepted the flyers, sympathised with the persecution suffered by the Chinese people and signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP's atrocities.

Many people didn’t even know what Falun Gong was and they hadn’t heard anything about the persecution in China. They were shocked to hear about the removal of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners whose bodies are then cremated to destroy any evidence. The Chinese Communist Party makes enormous profits from this illegal and immoral trade.

People went to the Falun Gong stand or chatted with practitioners to find out more

Many people were very grateful after they heard about Falun Gong and the practitioners could feel that this came from the bottom of their hearts. “It’s good that you inform them about the situation in China,” one man said.

On Saturday night there were some concerts for those who attended the forum. The practitioners took this chance to let more people know about the persecution. No matter how late it was, people were still happy to find out more.
