On May 27th, 2006, the annual Lions Festival was held in the small town of Dimbulah, located in Far North Queensland Province in Australia. The festival activities included a grand parade, stage show, market, and other popular events. Falun Dafa practitioners from Brisbane were invited to join this celebration. The host of their local Your Community Radio Station, Chee Lob, interviewed two Dafa practitioners. The interview was broadcast live.

Dimbulah is a beautiful little town on the coast, about 560 miles from Brisbane, with a population of only 600. Counting the farms around the town, the population is 1,500. The grand parade attracted residents from all over the area, and people enjoyed the day until 10:00 p.m.

After the parade people crowded around the stage. The "Orange Peeling" and "Spaghetti Eating" contests gave the audience a lot of laughter. The graceful Falun Dafa exercise demonstration won the admiration of the people. Many said that they wanted to learn the exercises. A seven-year-old boy named Jackson joined the stage demonstration after learning the exercises.

Falun Dafa practitioners handed out truth clarification flyers to people at the festival. When they learned that the Chinese Communist Party was persecuting Falun Gong in China, and heard of the crimes of harvesting organs from living practitioners followed by the secret cremation of their bodies, people were very angry. They all signed a petition to stop such a brutal persecution.
