Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhongzhen was from Huaining County, Anqing City of Anhui Province. On December 25th, 2005, 610 Office1 agents from Anqing City, accompanied by those from the Huaining County Police Department, arrested her. After suffering from tortures for three days he became extremely weak. He passed away a few days after returning home. Zhang Zhongzhen was the former deputy assistant for the Anqing City Falun Dafa Assistant Centre.
Ms. Li Jiyun, 69, lived in Fenxi County of Shanxi Province. She started practising Falun Gong in 1994. Her home was always a practice site. After the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, as she was persistent in practising Falun Gong, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents detained her for a cumulative total of over two years. These freedom deprivations occurred on July 20th, 1999, December 1999, February 2000 and October 2000. In December 2004, she was arrested again and detained five times by the lawless local people, and was sent for one year of forced labour. The persecutors extorted money from her family. Over the past seven years, local criminals kept harassing and threatening her. She suffered from severe mental trauma, especially during her month-long unlawful detention in December 2004. Her mental endurance reached the extreme limit, and she was very much afraid of being persecuted again. She passed away on April 21st, 2006.
Ms. Liu Fuqin, 66, was a resident of Mulan County, Heilongjiang Province. She had several illnesses before she practised Falun Gong, all of which disappeared after she started to practise in January 1996. On April 15th, 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal. Local police detained her at the police station. After staging a hunger strike for twenty days to resist the persecution she left, but the police extorted 3,000 yuan2 from her. In December 2000 she went again to Beijing to appeal. Police from Qinhuangdao City arrested her and then sent her to forced labour for one year. As she was seriously ill and the forced labour camp had refused to accept her, people from a local custody centre further detained for over three months. This brought her to the brink of death. She was not released until paying an extortion sum of 1,000 yuan as a "guarantee deposit." After she was sent back home, her illnesses recurred due to the persecution and she passed away on March 18th, 2006.
Mr. Zhu Changsheng, 56, was a an employee from the Road Construction Machinery Factory in the Decheng District, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. He has suffered from the persecution since July 20th, 1999. The CCP harassed and threatened him many times, causing him and his family tremendous trauma. He had a sudden heart attack on May 15th, 2006 and passed away.
Mr. Cao Wenhai, 56, was an employee in the Road Management Centre of Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province. He started to practise Falun Gong in 1998, and his serious illnesses vanished. After the persecution began he was harassed and persecuted by lawless people from his work unit and from others. Under the pressure his illnesses recurred and he passed away in summer 2005.
Mr. Li Qinghua, 77, was from Nanyang City in Henan Province. Soon after he started practising Falun Gong in 1996, all of his illnesses vanished. After July 20th, 1999, due to the cruel persecution, he suffered from mental and physical trauma. He could not study the Falun Dafa teachings and practise the exercises normally. His old illnesses recurred and he passed away in April 2004.
Ms. Chen Shumin, 75, was from Nanyang City in Henan Province. She no longer had illness after starting to practise Falun Gong in 1996. After the persecution started in July 1999 she also went out to appeal for Dafa. She was afraid to study the teachings and practise the exercises as usual because of threats from the CCP and others who did not know the truth. As a result, she suffered a stroke and passed away in February 2006.
