From May 28th to June 6th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Fukuoka held a ten-day event in a bustling area to expose and protest the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. The activities lasted about three hours each day, with practitioners showing display boards and passing out fliers and other truth-clarification materials.
Passersby reading display boards and taking fliers | Many people signed their names on a petition letter |
The first day of the event was on a weekend, so there were many passersby. People stopped to read the display boards and signed their names to support the anti-persecution petition. After one Japanese man learned the truth, he was very angry at such cruel crimes and asked for more petition forms for his friends and relatives to sign.
On the second day, a Chinese man attempted to break the "Communist Party is Disintegrating" display board. Two practitioners stopped him and a policeman arrived in a short time and took him to the police station.
The following days, everything went well. A middle-aged man read the display boards and asked, "Are you Falun Gong?" He said he read reports about the Communist Party's live organ harvesting and has paid close attention to this issue. He was happy to see Falun Gong's activity and said we should help more people know about the Chinese Communist Party's crimes.
A university student read the flier and asked for more information. He said he would discuss the human rights issue in China with teachers and students at a forum at the university.
An older man came to our event after he read a flier brought home by a family member. He encouraged the practitioners to keep going, in order to help more people know about these crimes.
One man had some misunderstandings about Falun Gong due to the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda. A practitioner patiently explained to him how CCP deceives the Chinese people. Finally, he said he would read the flier and said he wanted to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. [An Epoch Times publication that discloses the nature and history of the CCP. During the ten-day event, there were some Chinese people, including students, who passed by every day. When they read the display boards, the practitioners would clarify the truth to them, asking them to quit from CCP, and they gave them copies of the "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party". Several Korean students and tourists stopped by too. They usually recognised Falun Gong immediately and said "Falun Gong" in the Korean language. Then they would ask for more truth-clarification materials.
