Taiwan: Truth-Clarification at Dragon Boat Festival in Chiayi

The Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on May 30th (or May 5th on lunar calendar) in 2006, is a major Chinese ethnic event. The Chiayi County Government held activities, including a dragon boat race at Yuren Pier of Dongshi Village. People in the county, elderly and young, went to watch the race. Falun Gong practitioners took this opportunity to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by distributing flyers and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in the hot sun.

Falun Gong practitioners hung a large banner stating "Condemning the CCP's Live Organ-Harvesting" on a tower close to the entrance of the activity site. A Falun Gong practitioner told people that many sources testified to media that about 6000 Falun Gong practitioners were imprisoned in a secret death camp in Sujiatun, Shenyang. Their organs were harvested for profit and their bodies cremated to destroy evidence. Another source exposed that there were at least 36 similar camps in China. The same crimes are common in forced labour camps and jails in China.

Some people could hardly believe such brutal crime. Some said, "I have heard about it long ago."

Falun Gong practitioners told people that more than one hundred million people in more than eighty countries practise Falun Gong since it was introduced to the public in 1992. Out of jealousy, Jiang's regime launched a persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in July, 1999. At least 2890 Falun Gong practitioners are confirmed to have lost their lives because of the persecution. Hundreds of thousands have been detained or imprisoned. Countless have been tortured, forced to leave their homes and their properties confiscated. Many of them are missing.

The Vice President of the European Parliament Edward, Scott-McMillan met two Falun Gong practitioners during his visit to Beijing. The two Falun Gong practitioners went missing following the meeting. They are believed to have been arrested by the CCP.

Falun Gong practitioners said Taiwanese businessmen who invest in China should gain an understanding of the CCP's evil nature. Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party provides information about the true nature of the CCP. Falun Gong practitioner hope everyone will come to know about the crimes of the CCP and support the anti-persecution movement.
