Ms. Guo Shulan, 71, was a Falun Dafa practitioner in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. Before she practised Falun Gong, she suffered with heart disease, leg pain, and other illnesses. Since she practised Falun Gong, all her illnesses disappeared. After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, she was afraid of the Chinese Communist Party's policy of involving others in crimes and was afraid that her sons and daughters would be mistreated. She gave up the practice and her illnesses reoccurred. There was no effect from the treatment she received at the hospital. Her fellow practitioners went to her home to persuade her to continue cultivation. She missed the old days when she practised Falun Gong very much. However, she was too afraid of being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and she did not dare to practise Falun Gong. Finally, it cost her more than 30,000 yuan1 to stay in the hospital, which still could not save her life. She died on January, 3rd, 2005.
Ms. Deng Guiyun, over 70 years old, was a practitioner from Chengdong Town in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. She began to practise Falun Gong in 1996, and all her illnesses disappeared. After the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, she lost the opportunity to share experiences with fellow practitioners because of threats from the village administration agents. In 2003, her diseases reoccurred. Because her family members were afraid and tried to prevent her from contacting Falun Dafa practitioners, she stayed in bed and could not stand up. She passed away on April 5th, 2006.
