On July 9th, 2006, at Human Rights Square near the Eiffel Tower, Falun Gong practitioners publicised the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s trade in organs harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners. Many local people and tourists told us they felt that in the 21st century, murdering people in order to trade in their harvested organs is a shame for humanity.
Paris stands for freedom, democracy and human rights; it also a centre of art and culture. Falun Gong practitioners expose the trade in harvested organs almost every Sunday and it has become a regular fixture in Human Rights Square. Here, people express their support for Falun Gong and express their condemnation of organ harvesting.
Ms. Christiane Deséze from France said, “The most important thing is we should not forget the human being is holy, and no one has right to do such a thing. Harvesting organs is barbaric behaviour. Those criminals must be sent to court. When the international society mobilises, some intolerant situations could be changed. Therefore the international society should pay attention to this.”
Ms. Maggy, working in Paris, visited Human Rights Square with her brother visiting from Hong Kong. Upon seeing the re-enactment of organ harvesting, with practitioners playing the roles of doctor and victim, and the exhibition boards of depicting scenes of persecution, they were astonished. After talking with practitioners, they understood the truth.
A person who doesn’t understand Falun Gong very well told us, “I feel horrible. Why does the CCP do such thing? The Falun Gong practitioners are living people. I sympathise with the Falun Gong practitioners very much. The Falun Gong practitioners just do what they want to do, but encounter such a persecution.”
Ms. Eméitasse from France said: “When hearing this, I feel it is really a shame for the human race.Spiritual belief brings peace to human beings, but the things happening in China are too dreadful. Especially for the Frenchmen, the concentration camps also existed in Europe. This is really a great shame!”
Ms. Oméima from Paris said: “This is really a shame. I had not thought of this kind of thing still happening. Although it is difficult, we must still truly go into action to changes this.”
