Mr. Wang Xianguo lived in the residential area of Nongan County Oil Transport Station in Jilin Province. After he learned Falun Dafa in 1995, his illnesses went away and he became a healthy, happy, kind and open-minded person. After the persecution began in 1999, he went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa. The first time was in early 2000. He was arrested and taken to Qianmen police station in Beijing and then returned to his hometown to be held in the local detention centre for 15 days. The second time he went to Beijing was December 8th, 2000. He was able to unfurl a banner and shout "Falun Dafa is good" in Tiananmen Square. Again he was arrested by the Qianmen police station police. While he was entering the hallway of the police station, which was that he could not stay there and he had to get out. With this thought, he turned around and left the police station.
Later Wang Xianguo and his wife were arrested from their home by the local political security section. Wang was sentenced to two years of forced labour. When his children went to ask for his release, they were extorted out of 30,000 yuan1. Wang and his wife were released after 15 days.
After returning home, Wang kept distributing Dafa leaflets exposing the persecution, rain or shine. Sometimes there were not enough materials; he then made his own by hand-writing the materials. In order to save money to make more materials, he lived a very frugal life.
At around 2:00 in the afternoon of March 2nd, 2006, over ten people including Yu Hongquan, Du Hengzhi, and others from the national security brigade arrived at Wang Xianguo’s residential area in three cars. They intended to arrest him and ransack his home. They surrounded the whole building, with one car parked on the west side of the building, one car on the east side and a third car right in front of the building. Policemen were stationed in front of and in the back of the building. They pounded on the door of Wang’s apartment madly, trying to get the door open.
During the more than two hours of frenzied actions by the police, many residents came out to watch. People were terrorised by this incident. Wang suffered both physically and mentally. He passed away on May 24th, 2006.
