Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the Minghui.org website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Practitioner Ms. Li Kemei, 51 years old, is a resident of Fengtai Village, Linyi City in Shandong Province. She was very weak with many illnesses before she learned Falun Gong. Since she started practising Falun Gong in 2002, she miraculously became healthy. Ms. Li explained the truth of Falun Dafa through her own, personal experience. She told everyone that, "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa saved me." Because of this, she was arrested in 2004 and sentenced to three years of forced labour. She was persecuted until she became mentally disordered, so she had to be released in September 2005.

After she returned home, Ms. Li experienced the miraculousness of Dafa. She recovered after studying the Falun Dafa teachings and practising the exercises. She posted Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution, but she was reported to the police by a misguided person named Huang Chuangtao. On October 15th, 2006, she was arrested by Yaodianzi Town Police Station officers and sent to Xishui County Detention Centre. The police searched every nook and cranny in her house.

Li Kemei's husband, Zhang Zhizhan, supports his wife's cultivation of Falun Dafa. When she was arrested, he and his son went to the police department to ask for her release, but the police always expelled them. Later, Zhang Zhizhan went to the police department many times with his elderly parents, both over 70, and his disabled son, but they were again kicked out of the station.

On November 13th, it was learned that Ms. Li Kemei was sent to a brainwashing centre in the Linyi Lanshan District Water Conservancy Department.
