Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Lianqing from Lishu District, Jixi City, died due to the persecution on July 18th, 2006.

Mr. Wang, 40 years old, lived in Building 8 in the Muling Coal Mine family housing in Lishu District. He was a worker for the Sixth Well of the Muling Mine, and later he lost his job because the coal mine went bankrupt.

Mr. Wang was thought of as a good person when he was alive. He began to practise Falun Dafa in 1997 and benefited both physically and spiritually. In July 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Wang left his newly-wedded bride and went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. At the end of August, he was arrested by policemen and detained at the Muling Mine Security Office for 18 days.

When Mr. Wang was detained alone, the deputy head of the security department, Han Congjia (male), beat Mr. Wang brutally, to the point that he had a mental breakdown. Eighteen days later he was released, but he could not work or live normally. He was totally different from the compassionate, rational individual that he was before. No one knows what kind of torture he suffered when he was detained those eighteen days. Sometimes, when people wished to talk to him, he would not say anything and sealed his mouth. Occasionally he nodded or shook his head, but he did not say anything. He hid at home. At times, he could not control himself and wandered along the street with a flag. Sometimes, he walked without purpose and stared at the twigs he held in his hands.

On July 18th, 2006, as he was walking along the street aimlessly, Mr. Wang Lianqing was hit by a car and died, leaving his elderly mother, wife, and six-year-old son. His death brought great sorrow to his family members.

The administration of the Lishu District Railway Station should be held liable for Mr. Wang's death, since he had a mental disorder and had an accident there; however, they only paid three hundred yuan1 as compensation. This is another debt that the CCP and its followers owe to Falun Dafa practitioners.

Personnel involved in the persecution,

Jixi City Police Department,

The head of Muling Mine Security Office, Fu Yonggui (male), now a general manager of a service company,
The deputy head of the Muling Mine Security Office, Han Congjia (male).

Note

1. "Yuan" is the Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average monthly income of an urban worker in China.
