United States: New York City Mayor Bloomberg Issues Proclamation to Designate February 14th as NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular Show Day

At 7:00 p.m. on February 14th, 2007, one hour before the first show of the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular, a representative of New York's Mayor Bloomberg brought the Mayor's proclamation to designate February 14th as NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular Show Day.

Mr. Guillermo Linares, Commissioner of the New York Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs, presents the Mayor's proclamation to NTDTV President Li Zong.

From December 19th to 24th, 2006, NTDTV held nine shows in the Beacon Theater and more than 20,000 people were in attendance.

On January 3rd, 2007, the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular started a global tour from Vancouver, Canada. NTDTV has organised a huge group of artists and performers, and conducted a tour of 76 shows in thirty cities across the world. It is estimated that 150,000 to 200,000 viewers will watch the show live.

From February 14th to 17th, the tour spectacular will hold seven shows in Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York. It is estimated that 30,000 to 40,000 viewers will watch the show in New York.
