The Guangdong Province Railroad System (GPRS) includes Guangzhou Railroad Corporation, Guangmeishan Railroad Co, Ltd, and Guangshen Railroad Corporation. Before July 20th, 1999, more than several hundred employees in the system practised Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners raised their morality by adhering to the principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." Everyone benefited mentally and physically, lived a harmonious family lives, and saved the nation large sums of money in medical expenses since the practice made them healthy. Most workers and administrators knew Falun Gong practitioners are good people, and that the practice is good for the country. Yet after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, some deputies and officials of the GPRS committed untold crimes by following the Jiang Zemin regime's "Lies, Hatred, Violence" policy to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
1. Depriving the freedom of belief; destroying human nature
The CCP adopted a genocidal policy against Falun Gong practitioners. After July 20th, 1999, the wicked people in the GPRS repeatedly forced Falun Gong practitioners to sign the three statements to abandon their faith, forcing them to give up their practice of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." Even more practitioners were intimidated, threatened, and forced to turn in their Dafa books.
For those practitioner workers who refused to participate in vilifying Falun Gong, and who refused to give up practising Falun Gong, some were fired; some were arrested and detained; and some were sent to various "transformation1" classes' for brainwashing. The so-called "transformation classes" were in fact concentration camps set up by the Jiang Zemin regime. There, all personal rights and freedoms were stripped and all were subjected to forced, even violent, brainwashing. Those who refused to be "transformed" would be sent to forced labour camp or prison.
The corrupt authorities sent several dozens of practitioners to the Sanshui brainwashing class or Guangzhou brainwashing class in Guangdong Province. Former Guangzhou City Railroad Workers Cultural Centre Theatre administrative worker Liang Zihui was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Guangzhou City 610 Office2; Fan Zhijun, Chief attendant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Guangmeishan Railroad Hospital was secretly sentenced to 8 years in prison by the Huizhou City 610 Office. She is currently imprisoned at the Guangdong Women's Prison and was fired from her job.
2. The transportation system became a political persecution tool
After July 20th, 1999, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in Guangdong Province who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong were intercepted at the Guangzhou Railroad Station, as well as various train stations throughout Guangdong Province. They were sent to brainwashing classes, forced labour camps and prisons for further persecution.
A large number of Falun Gong practitioners in Guangdong Province who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong were escorted along the Jing-Guang (Beijing-Guangzhou) railroads back to various places in Guangdong Province.
Many young Falun Gong practitioners whose organs were harvested to supply the various major hospitals in Guangdong Province were also transported via railroad from other places in Mainland China.
As soon as a Falun Gong practitioner was identified on the train, he or she would be immediately detained. Incidents where Falun Gong practitioners spoke to people about the facts of Falun Dafa on the train were arrested and detained also occurred frequently.
During the train boarding process, every passenger is subjected to examination with special equipment. If they found Falun Gong material, or the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party 3, the person would be immediately arrested and sentenced to heavy prison terms.
In May 2003 when a Falun Gong practitioner entered the Guangzhou Railroad Station he was asked to show his personal identification card. He saw that each police officer carried hand-held electronic devices which were networked. After the police saw his identification card, the police entered his name and ID number into this electronic device. Luckily his name was not on the "blacklist" so they allowed him to enter the train station. Nearly all Falun Gong practitioner's names are recorded in the "blacklist" data base. The persecutors used the "blacklist" and advanced communication tools to arrest Falun Gong practitioners.
3. The CCP spreads lies and incites hatred towards Falun Gong in Guangzhou schools
After the Jiang Regime started persecuting Falun Gong, the entire education system was also pushed into this unprecedented national calamity of persecution of the innocent and annihilation of the conscience by the Minister of Education, Chen Zhili. The office at each level was required to attack and criticise Falun Gong. Teachers and students were forced to watch movies that slander, vilify and incited hatred towards Falun Gong. Cultural Revolution-style strategic campaigns were organised on a large scale, whereby everybody must take a stand.
On February 1st, 2001, the Ministry of Education instructed every education institution and school to organise and to launch the Anti-Falun Gong Petition Signature collection activity, with the goal of getting a "Million Signatures" among the nationwide education system, and to use this to poison the minds of hundreds of millions of young students. When some students did not want to sign, the teacher in charge would use every means including threats and inducements, to force the students to sign, and failing to comply would result in expulsion from school. At the same time, they organised large-scale Cultural Revolution-style attacks on Falun Gong and the founder of Falun Gong with big banners, posters, and propaganda pamphlets. Chen Zhili even put anti-Falun Gong material into the elementary and high school teaching material and test questions for all grades, even college entrance and graduate students' examinations.
For the past several years, the GPRS actively cooperated with the Guangzhou City 610 Office and sent memos to the GPRS #1 High School and GPRS Elementary School to carry out various activities to slander Falun Gong, poisoning the minds of the young students. They instigated the faculty and students to "report immediately" on any practitioner who tried to clarify the truth, and ordered them not to "listen, believe, or spread" when they encountered leaflets exposing the persecution, but to turn it in. The wicked CCP exploited the innocence of the students and their blind obedience to their teachers.
As more and more people awaken and recognise the evil nature of the CCP, they denounce and quit the CCP one after another. There are now more than 19 million people who have quit the CCP. Yet the GPRS officials tried to drum up large-scale swearing in ceremonies to "Join the Communist Youth League" and "Join the Young Pioneers" and encouraged members to renew their pledges. They even force 6-year-old students in the first grade of elementary school to join the "Young Pioneers."
They intimidated, threatened, and harassed practitioners who urged people to quit all the affiliates of the CCP, telling them that GPRS would report them to the police and the security department. On September 12th, 2005, Dafa practitioner Shi Lei was forcibly taken to the Guangzhou City brainwashing class. His wife Zhu Li reported the persecution to the GPRS school administration, faculty and workers. The Yuexiu District 610 Office mobilised the school administration, neighbourhood association, and police department to intimidate and coerce Zhu Li, threatening to arrest her.
4. The political hatchet men of GPRS slander Dafa
The so-called "two doctrines" Education Office of the GPRS collaborated with the local "Political Writers," and wrote and edited the so-called Hundred Q&A Book. This book was edited by "Liang Lunban," with the preface by Zhang Lei, and postscript by Li Kelie. The book took Teacher Li Hongzhi's writing out of context, or made arbitrary interpretations, and recklessly made up 120 questions and answers. The book was published by Guangdong Economic Press in 2000 and distributed by the Guangdong Xinhua Book Store, selling for 10 yuan. They printed 110,000 copies. The "two doctrines" referred to "materialism" and "atheism." "Liang Lunban" was a pen name which is a homonym for "two doctrines office." In other words, the GPRS was used to frame and slander Falun Gong so as to mislead, deceive and poison the populace.
