On May 13th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland held a parade and a rally on Parnell Plaza to celebrate the Eighth World Falun Dafa Day. At 1:00 p.m., the parade started from Parnell Plaza, went through Chinatown and ended at O'Connell Street.
Practitioners held two big banners reading "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance". After the banner, there was a float, on which practitioners demonstrated the exercises. The celestial maidens danced after the float. The traditional Chinese dances were welcomed by the spectators.
After the parade, practitioners held a press conference. Ms. Dai from the Falun Dafa Association said: "More than 100 million people have benefited from Falun Gong. There are Chinese practitioners and Western practitioners in Ireland. We celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and express our appreciation to Master Li. We hope that more people will benefit from Falun Dafa too."
Mr. Dai Kelin, a psychologist, said that he learned about Falun Gong from a friend in London five years ago. He felt that all the practitioners are good people. He liked the parade today.
When asked him what he thought about the organ harvesting in China, Mr. Dai said, "I heard about it. As a doctor, I think that Mr. Matas and Kilgour did a righteous thing to investigate it. The CCP is really brutal."
At the end of the rally, a practitioner played two songs - "Celebrating Falun Dafa Day" and "Plum Flowers" on the saxophone to express appreciation to Master Li.
