Wang Huizhong, a villager in Guoyuan Village, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is in his 50s. In October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. There, police officers Zhao Liangping, Zhao Xianxiong, and others from the Hongxiang Police Station in Wuwei arrested him and transported him back to the Wuwei City Detention Centre for a three-month imprisonment term.
When Mr. Wang was in detention, Hongxiang Council Chairman Zhu Hunian, Law Enforcement Committee Secretary Fan Sangwen, Judicial Station Chief Zhang Runnian, and Policeman Xue led a group of people to break into Wang Huizhong's house. These people stole 20 bags of wheat (each bag holds about 25 Kg), 14 bags of corn, a washing machine, a cassette player and a TV.
This was on December 16th, 2000. When these officials broke into the house, they lied to everyone in the house saying that there was going to be a brainwashing class. Wang Huizhong and more than 10 other Falun Gong practitioners were forced into a shabby classroom in Hongxiang Middle School for over 10 days. Afterwards they were transported to Wuwei Smoke Quitting Station and persecuted for five more months.
In May 2002, while Wang Huizhong was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong, he was reported to the police. Wuwei City police officer Chen Fenggong and others, together with police from the Gulang County Police Station, a total of more than 10 people in four to five police vehicles, arrested Mr. Wang from his home. He was later sentenced to an eight-year term in prison by the Liangzhou District Court in Wuwei City. Mr. Wang was confined in Lanzhou Prison for three months. Later he was transferred back to Wuwei Prison. In November 2005, he was transferred to Jiuquan Forced Labour Camp, where he has been subjected to even more vicious treatment.
