On July 4th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Kansas attended the Independence Day Parade in the city of Lenexa.

The parade was part of the 100th anniversary of the city of Lenexa. More than 70 groups entered the parade and thousands of citizens watched it.
The Falun Gong float attracted many people and the organisers of the parade were amazed by the beauty of Falun Gong. Practitioners were awarded second place in the parade.
