At eight o'clock in the evening, March 10th, 2007, policemen from Shashan Police Station abducted Tang Xingyun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Someone had tipped the police that Tang had been seen distributing leaflets exposing the persecution in the area. She had only handed out two copies. Ten thuggish policemen shocked her with eight electric batons, and the 65-year-old lady died in the police station before she could utter a word.
Further details are under investigation and anyone who knows about the case is encouraged to provide us with more information.
Tang Xingyun was a 65-year-old lady, who used to live in a neighbourhood on Tuanjie Road, Shenhe District. The neighbourhood was later sold by the city government of Shenyang to foreign businessmen, so in 2002 Tang moved to Shayang Neighbourhood, Shayang Road, Heping District, Shenyang City. Before she learned Falun Dafa, Tang had many diseases, including high blood pressure and cardiovascular disorders, and had lived in agony for years. She started studying the Falun Dafa teachings in 1996 and cultivating her heart. She strictly observed the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and not long after she started practising Falun Dafa, all her diseases simply vanished. She truly felt the happiness of having a body free of diseases. She became a warm, open, and kind person, and she told everyone she ran into about the goodness of Dafa. Many of the people she had talked to came to know more about Dafa and even started on the path of cultivating in Dafa.
After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, Tang kept appealing for Dafa. Not long after the persecution started, she was picked up by local police, and asked to identify Falun Gong practitioners from a list. Instead of telling them who were Falun Gong practitioners, Tang, a big smile on her face, explained to the police what changes she had gone through after she started cultivating Falun Dafa and doing everything according to the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She also told them the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. She got excited and held the hands of a policeman, saying to him, "Young man, Falun Dafa is really good. Don't round up people at will." The policeman said, "All right, all right. You may go home now." She was thus released.
Tang not only explained the truth and handed out leaflets exposing the persecution face-to-face, but also she used her meagre pension to make leaflets. Once she heard that a leaflets production centre was short of funds, so she didn't hesitate to contribute from her savings. Tang was fearless in helping the kidnapped practitioners. In 2001, when an abducted practitioner escaped from the authorities, Tang, in spite of the police surveillance, went to visit this practitioner and encouraged him to keep practising Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
Now Tang has been brutally murdered, but her family and relatives do not dare to speak up, for they have long been poisoned by Party culture and they are fearful of the wicked party. It is not clear how exactly Tang died, and we hope her family and kind-hearted people will help us find out the truth and provide evidence for the investigation of the murder of Falun Dafa practitioner Tang Xingyun.
