Ukraine: Practitioners Raise Awareness in the Crimean Peninsula about the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong

On July 7th and 8th, Falun Gong practitioners from Kramatorsk, Kiev, and Dnepropertrovsk, with local practitioners from the Crimean Peninsula, held activities including group study of the Falun Dafa principles, doing the Falun Gong exercises together and exchanging cultivation experiences at a famous landmark in the Crimea Peninsula. At the same time, they also held activities in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea, Sevastpol and Alushta to raise awareness among local people of Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution of the practice.

The Crimean Peninsula is located in south of the former Soviet Union. It has a Mediterranean climate, with beautiful scenery, and is a famous tourist resort in Ukraine. Yalta, a famous city in the Peninsula, used to be a place where the summits between the Soviet Union, the USA and the UK were held. The Crimean is a place where you can see the cultural heritage of Ukraine. Therefore, many tourists from different countries and districts come here every year.

Two-day activities allowed many people to see the Falun Gong exercises and learn about the persecution. People from Ukraine felt not only surprised but also angry when learning that the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, who believe in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”, has lasted for as long as eight years. One after another, they signed the petition condemning the brutality of the CCP. After receiving leaflets, some tourists said that they would pass this information to more of their friends so that they could see through the evil nature of the CCP.
